55.60 miles are too many for the second day with a heavy rig.
I'm glad I didn't try for Cora City; it's in Luxembourg. I had better learn how to use the GPS.
Fewer hills than yesterday but the road shoulder is horrible and it was windy.
It's so hot I had to pull into folks' yards and beg water and shade. They were very gracious and motorists for the most part very accommodating.
Big wind & rain this morning early - blew the tent about 20 feet. I had just crawled out.
Staying in a little motel in Clara City tonight.
Planning to ride to Dawson tomorrow and then take the next day off.

ReplyDeleteWhat a classic motel sign. Love it. Glad you are out of the heat and getting a chance to recover. Accuweather is predicting 88 for tomorrow with a 'Real Feel' of 104. Monday's prediction is for slightly cooler weather. Maybe tomorrow would be a good "off day". Take care!
