Day 3 & Day 4 - July 10 & 11, 2011 - Dawson, MN

Another blistering day but 36 miles wasn't too bad.  Camping in the Dawson town park - bathrooms with showers and a swimming pool - refreshing beyond description.  Big thunder storm with wind & hail early evening.  Lost nothing but slept in wet gear.
Stayed over a day to dry out and rest.  The town has seen better days as most of theses small rural coomunities I suppose.  The farms, though, along the road appear really prosperous - large new or rebuilt homes, new vehicles in the yards - ethanol madness and high commodity prices no doubt.  Not much. or anything, to do in Dawson - read a little and studied maps.  Rained again Monday night but managed to stay dry.
